Tips on Tailor Making Your Holiday

With the flexibility and ease of the internet, booking your own tailor made holiday has never been easier.
If you’re looking at saving money and getting a top quality holiday at bargain prices then tailor making your own holiday is one way of cutting out the extra charges that travel agents and tour operators charge to cover their commission. Tailor making a holiday also ensures that you get the exact accommodation and flights etc that you want and you’re not relying on a package already put together by a tour operator.
Start by looking on the internet or contacting the tourist board of the country which you want to travel to, to get information about resorts, hotels and apartments. Don’t be put off by the fear of receiving information in a foreign language as you can get an interpreting agency to translate this for you.
Most tour operators offer hotel and apartment only options to book if you don’t feel confident dealing direct with accommodation abroad.
Once you have found the accommodation and checked it’s availability you then need to check flights, ferry or train times and prices to ensure that these are available at the same as you accommodation.
If you aren’t taking your own car on holiday with you, you will also need to consider your transfer from the airport, port or station. Taking a taxi is one of the easiest ways to get to your holiday destination but isn’t always the cheapest so do your homework before you got to see if there is a bus, tram or train as these can be considerably cheaper. If you are wanting to sightsee, shop or just travel around on your holiday, why not consider hiring a car as this gives you total freedom to do as you please.
Once you have tailor made your first holiday, you’ll never look back!
